Drake Smith
Drake Smith was born and raised in Union County, where he attended Weddington High School, actively participating in a variety of sports and extracurricular activities. He earned his undergraduate degree in Finance, with a minor in Legal Studies, from Winthrop University. During his time there, Drake not only was a four-year member of the NCAA Division I baseball team but also served as a tutor for fellow students and was nominated by his teammates to represent the baseball team on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.
Upon graduating from Winthrop in May 2021, Drake promptly pursued his Juris Doctorate at the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford. At law school, he was an integral member of the Trial Advocacy Board and competed in numerous external trial competitions across the country. Drake graduated cum laude in May 2024.
After successfully passing the July 2024 Bar Exam, Drake returned to North Carolina to launch his legal career. He specializes in civil litigation, estate administration, land use development, and other business law.
In his spare time, Drake enjoys golfing and watching a variety of sports, including baseball, basketball, and football.
